General Terms and Conditions of Business and Transportation of Fahrdienst-Ulm (GTC)
§ 1 Transportation Agreement
The transportation agreement shall only come into effect upon the passenger’s booking and the written confirmation by Fahrdienst-Ulm. Bookings may be made in writing, by telephone, or via e-mail. The transportation fare is based on the currently valid price list. All agreements, ancillary agreements, and additional arrangements must be made in writing.
The stated prices apply to one pickup address only. Additional pickup addresses must be communicated in advance. An additional charge will be applied for the extra distance traveled. The same applies to return journeys involving multiple destination addresses.
Pickup times are determined independently by Fahrdienst-Ulm based on flight departure and arrival times, road and weather conditions, and the regulations of charter and scheduled airlines. If necessary, other transportation providers may be engaged to fulfill the service.
Passengers are responsible for ensuring that the departure and arrival times they provide correspond to those stated in the booking confirmation. Fahrdienst-Ulm cannot be held liable for any consequences resulting from incorrect information provided by the passenger.
§ 2 Changes to Flight Schedules
In the event of changes to flight schedules (delays, rescheduling, or cancellations), you must inform us immediately by telephone or e-mail and provide the new arrival time and flight number.
If delays exceeding 60 minutes are not reported, we are no longer obligated to provide transportation services. In the event of customs clearance issues or baggage-related delays, please notify us immediately.
If no notification is received, we will wait for up to 60 minutes after the aircraft has landed. Thereafter, we are entitled to withdraw from the transportation agreement. Compensation claims are excluded in such cases.
§ 3 Baggage
You may transport your baggage free of charge within the limits of available vehicle capacity and permitted load volume.
For groups exceeding four passengers, the luggage compartment may only be used to a limited extent. Therefore, please provide accurate information regarding the type and quantity of baggage.
Bulky items such as golf bags, diving equipment, or surfboards must be declared in advance so that loading capacity can be assessed. Animals must also be registered prior to transportation.
§ 4 Liability
Transportation to the airport is organized to ensure timely arrival and check-in (approximately two hours before the scheduled flight departure).
Fahrdienst-Ulm shall not be held liable for consequences resulting from delays on our part due to heavy traffic, traffic jams, or the failure of one of our vehicles.
Liability for damages resulting from slight negligence is excluded. Exceptional circumstances, such as air traffic controller strikes or severe weather conditions, can only be accommodated by Fahrdienst-Ulm to a limited extent. Therefore, passengers may be required to accept longer waiting times.
Pursuant to Section 23 of the German Passenger Transportation Act (Personenbeförderungsgesetz), liability for property damage is limited to EUR 1,000. Liability for personal injury is covered by Fahrdienst-Ulm within the scope of its liability insurance coverage, provided that the damage was caused by our gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
In cases where liability insurance coverage does not apply, Fahrdienst-Ulm liability shall be limited to three times the agreed total transportation fare.
§ 5 Meeting Point
The meeting point at airports is generally the arrivals hall or the designated meeting point. Therefore, please specify the meeting point accurately.
You can identify our driver by a sign displaying the words “Fahrdienst-Ulm”.
At railway stations, the meeting point is the Deutsche Bahn (DB) Service Point located in the station concourse.
§ 6 Cancellation
Both contracting parties have the right to withdraw from the transportation agreement at any time.
Cancellation must be submitted in writing or by e-mail.
However, for short-notice cancellations (within 24 hours prior to the scheduled pickup), we must charge a flat-rate cancellation fee.
Cancellations within 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time: 50% of the transportation fare.
Failure to cancel: the full transportation fare shall become due and payable.
We kindly ask for your understanding in this regard.
§ 7 General Provisions
By making a booking, each passenger accepts these General Terms and Conditions of Business and Transportation.
No individual seats are offered; the transportation service is provided for the entire vehicle.
The transportation fare must be paid before commencement of the journey.
Should one or more provisions of these General Terms and Conditions of Business and Transportation of Fahrdienst-Ulm be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
§ 8 Disclaimer
Should we inadvertently use graphics or content belonging to third parties and thereby infringe copyright laws, we kindly request that you notify us immediately by e-mail.
We wish you a pleasant journey with Fahrdienst-Ulm.
